Our Story

Built on Experience You Can Rely On

Utility Design Solutions is a dry utility consulting firm specializing in the planning, design, coordination, and approval of utility infrastructure for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Founded in 2015, the firm was built by Gina Cox who spent more than a decade working in-house for a major U.S. homebuilder, directly managing dry utility design and processing across large-scale developments. That experience provided a firsthand understanding of how utility providers, municipalities, engineers, and builders interact—and where projects commonly lose time.

Rather than reacting to utility challenges, Utility Design Solutions was created to anticipate them.

We believe successful utility projects start long before submittal. Our process is designed around early planning, clear communication, and approval-ready documentation that aligns with utility standards from the outset.

By maintaining strong working relationships with utility providers, municipal agencies, engineers, and applicant installers, we are able to coordinate each phase efficiently—often achieving approved plan checks on the first or second submittal.

Our role is to simplify complex utility requirements so our clients can focus on building, selling, and opening on schedule.
